Allison Nuovo

Allison Nuovo (right), president and founder of AlliNew Publishing Inc., is passionate about business. It shows in her entrepreneurial spirit, speech and demeanor. The hallmark of Allison’s business is a caring approach and willingness to share liberal sprinkling of marketing advice to her clients (and potential clients, as well as franchisees).  “I really care what a customer needs and want their marketing dollars to work for them.” Allison relies on a combination of business experience, intuition, and a great group of advisors and vendor-partners. “They are all excited to participate in creating my vision.”

AlliNew Publishing, Inc. is the owner of The Town Calendar, a five-year-old company producing printed and online calendars which include local, regional, and national companies advertising goods and services to calendar recipients. In 2006, printed calendars were delivered, at no charge, to over 60,000 residents in five towns. In 2007-2008, calendar deliveries are projected to reach 250,000 residents in 17 towns. Anyone may visit the interactive, online calendar found at www.TownCalendarOnline.com, which is #1 on Google for Town Calendar Search or calendar franchise.

Continuing her relationship with Cliff Robbins, a senior business advisor with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network's southeastern Massachusetts office, she has now expanded into franchising The Town Calendar concept.

Allison personally publishes Middleboro, Lakeville-Freetown, Bridgewater, East and West Bridgewater town calendars. She recently hired a sales representative to sell the ads on The Town Calendars so she can focus on expanding the franchise organization. “What amazes me is everywhere I go, I see the calendars hanging up. In homes, in businesses………..everybody knows the calendars.  It makes me feel proud, I created this out of my basement five years ago, and now everyone uses this calendar.”

Allison has moved out of her basement and into a beautiful office in Taunton, MA as of May 2007. She hired her first employee to help with the day to day operations.

Allison, by word of mouth, has attracted 6 incredible individuals that have been granted franchise territories. Our most recent, flew all the way from California. “That blew me away, I couldn’t believe someone flew across the entire country to meet us and publish The Town Calendar.”

Allison has added more features to her website, TheTownCalendar.com, an online version of The Town Calendar. Now included is a list of the current franchisees, along with franchising information.

Allison never stops with growing ideas. She is now working on another idea, Best Ads In Town, a product everyone can afford, and will certainly create a conversation!!! She will keep us posted on the progression. Her new website is www.BestAdsInTown.com.

“The key ingredient for my success is this…surrounding myself with positive, focused, individuals, that are hooked on my enthusiastic energy and tenacity.” One vendor said to me this morning, relax Allison, and I said, I’ll relax when I die”.

Allison’s success has been noted in feature articles in the Boston Sunday Globe, Taunton Daily Gazette, The Enterprise, MSBDC newsletter, Middleboro Gazette, Freebird Times and other trade publications.  She has also received recognition from the Rotary, Cranberry Chamber of Commerce and Metro South Chamber of Commerce. She has spoken about her business on radio business networking events, and is now involved with the International Franchise Association.
