The Institute
of Black Invention and Technology
Carroll and Sandra Lamb founded the institute after viewing a similar museum from California at a Black exposition in Philadelphia. Although the Lambs considered themselves knowledgeable about Black history, they realized they knew little about Black inventors. The Lambs believe that more people, particularly children, need to be exposed to the genius of Black inventors. Through this exposure Black children will broaden their career options to include the scientific and entrepreneurial fields, and will realize that they have a richer history than is revealed in school text books. > Read an article on Carroll Lamb that was publishedin the Springfield Republican
