It is the story of the determination of its owner. It began as a struggle to survive following a rather unhappy divorce and has grown to become a legend. Jeannine Labossiere took a partially completed but abandoned shell of a house and with the talented assistance of the students from the regional vocational school began the journey to what is now one of the truly fabulous B&Bs in Southeastern Massachusetts. Catering primarily to corporate clients the list ever grows. Notably the leaders in area industry such as Johnson & Johnson and Ocean Spray Cranberries, utilize the B&B for business guests and executives. Tourists also visit On Cranberry Pond and the scrap books filled with letters of testimonials speak volumes for the hospitality and all around good experience. Behind or in front of all this good will is Jeannine LaBossiere who has used her determination and dynamic personality to build an enviable business. She is a great cook, a wonderful hostess and a delightfully professional person. Her bedrooms and meeting rooms surpass the rooms of the world’s leading hotels. That might sound like hyperbole but it really isn’t. Numerous clients have hailed the place as outstanding and their return visits are again testimony to its excellence. The SBDC has tried to be a valuable resource for Jeannine and I’m sure the organization helped but the bulk of the credit belongs to Jeannine The B&B is a stopping place for hundreds of area visitors and everyone agrees it is a superior happening.
